When you’re a parent, you wind up with many kids’ clothing that seems to take up permanent residence in the bottom of a drawer. Whether you have containers full of hand-me-downs from older cousins or have that one well-meaning relative who just can’t resist a 5% off sale, you typically have a ton of clothes that simply aren’t your family’s style. While these might be great to throw in a diaper bag in case of an accident, there’s no reason to settle when it comes to your child’s style.

Are you looking for a fantastic boutique filled to the brink with adorable clothes you’ll actually want to dress your child in? Then I would love to tell you about Fritz and Gigi Concord. This historic shop has everything you need to keep your child’s wardrobe from feeling tired.

About Fritz and Gigi Concord

Fritz and Gigi opened its doors on December 1, 1938, under “Concord Children’s Shop.” Even back then, parents saw a gap in practical yet stylish children’s clothing. Until 1940, three women operated the shop. They wanted to provide parents with premium options for their children. After that, Louisa Alcott Kussin bought the store, a relative of author Louisa May Alcott. She and her husband moved the shop to 79 Main Street on the Milldam in 1947.

The store would undergo various renovations and name changes as it moved between the different generations of Kussins. In 2005, the shop reopened with the name “Fritz and Gigi” and its trademark shade of yellow. The Kussins sold to a new family in 2016.

Today, Tina Napoli Fahley runs the shop with her husband, Jack, and their children. When you walk into the legendary house, you’ll find two floors of fantastic clothing for children starting with newborn pieces and going to size 12. The store carries some of the top brands in high-quality children’s clothing. The shelves contain labels from Kissy Kissy, Magnetic Me, Molo, Pink Chicken, Hebe, Timble, Maddie & Connor, and much more. You’ll also be able to find plenty of accessories and gifts for every family.

Products

At Fritz and Gigi, they strive to provide you with the freshest styles from your favorite brands. They update their stock daily to ensure you always have access to the very best. The store has an incredible variety of infant clothing from 0-24 months. On top of their girls’ and boys’ clothing, they have gender-neutral options so you can stock up on pieces for your baby even if you choose not to find out the gender beforehand.

Not only do they have easy zip-up pajamas, but they also have magnetic closures that will make diaper changes in the middle of the night a total breeze. The shop sells a wide range of soft and organic baby clothes. They also sell quaint dresses and functional rompers so your baby can be ready for any occasion.

Their 2-6y selection is terrific. They sell dresses that allow kids to wear their interests fashionably, whether they’re into horses or dinosaurs. The boutique carries classic fashions and updated trends to ensure your family has the perfect piece regardless of style. Their boys’ clothing includes pastel chinos, fun t-shirts, patterned button-ups, and cozy sweaters. Your child will find something they’ll want to wear repeatedly, and you’ll have an option for every event. You will also be able to find accessories that take any outfit over the top. The boutique knows what kids like, from colorful hair clips and frilly bows to backpacks your kid will love carrying to school.

Fritz and Gigi sell boys’ clothing ranging to size 12 and girls’ clothing extending to the teenage years. They have comfortable dresses, trendy flared pants, warm sweatshirts, and stylish jumpers. This section is located upstairs, separate from all the smaller kids’ clothing, so your tween doesn’t feel stuck with immature options. Older girls will adore their tie-dye styles, while you’ll love having a go-to spot for current fashions.

The shop has excellent swim options for warmer weather. They sell adorable board shorts, ruffly tankinis, and cute rash guards to keep your baby safe. You can also find a variety of swimsuit covers for after swim time.

Specialty

Fritz and Gigi’s sells women’s clothing so you can find something for yourself while shopping for your baby. They sell comfortable dresses from Pink Chicken as well as Mama shirts. You can even find a swimsuit so you can match your little one.

The shop has one of the top gift selections in all of Concord. They have dreamy chenille blankets and mobiles for the new babies in your life. They also provide convenient gift cards so you can spoil new mamas while allowing them to pick out their own items.

One of my favorite parts of the shop is its classic Christmas figurines. They sell gorgeous pewter pieces from Wilhelm Schweizer that will dress up any house during the holidays. These pieces include stuffed stockings, Christmas trains, snowmen, and Santa Claus. These figurines are typically marked with the year, so you can build up your collection over time and always remember that holiday season.
