I still remember the day I could no longer feel my son's soft spot. I blinked, and suddenly I could hear my newborn baby's tiny little feet pitter-pattering down the hall.

The first few days and months weren't easy, but I still miss them.

Truthfully, I regret not being in more photos in that newborn period. I was tired. I didn't like how my postpartum self looked. I gave myself plenty of excuses.

But now he's 4, and I can't go back and take more photos of holding him on my chest. I'm thankful that one of my friends talked me into doing a session with a lifestyle newborn photographer, because those are some of the only photos I have that show our connection in his first year.

I firmly believe that you deserve to have natural-feeling images of the raw, intimate moments you share with your newborn to look back on when that day comes for you. I don't believe in making my clients perform for the camera—I celebrate real love, real joy, and real emotion.

As your Greater Boston newborn photographer, I will focus on the connection you as a family share with your new child. I'll capture the precious moments and newborn details that are much too fleeting so that when you're looking at that beautiful portrait on your wall 18 years from now, you'll be taken right back to the place it all started: in your arms.

You deserve a Boston newborn photographer who is the perfect fit for your family's story and vision. I'd love to chat with you for 15-20 minutes to make sure that my approach is the right fit before we book. If I'm not, I'll happily refer to my list of other awesome photographers!

Once we've determined that I'm the right fit for your newborn photography session (yay!), I will send you a contract to sign, which you will return to me with a retainer, and your session will be officially on the books!

There are plenty of things that are stressful about becoming a parent (or welcoming a new sibling), but your newborn session shouldn't be one of them. Upon booking, I will send you a guide that will help you prepare for our session and a questionnaire so that I can tailor your session to your family. I will also check in along the way to answer any questions that may arise.

Throughout your session, I will give you some guidance and light direction on positioning, so you won’t have to worry about whether or not your best angle is toward the camera. From there, I will focus on prompting your family to interact, because that's how I capture your love for one another. We will get some beautiful whole-family portraits, but my sessions are relaxed, peaceful, and focused on the "real"—I don't believe in performing for the camera, so I tend to keep everything pretty natural.

About 3 weeks after your session, you'll receive a slideshow of your images. Gather your family together in the comfort of your own home to relive all the moments and marvel at the beauty of the family you've lovingly made. Only after you've seen the slideshow will you choose a collection, each of which includes a certain number of digital images and a certain amount of print credit for you to use in your online gallery store. Purchase exactly what you love, and absolutely nothing that you don't!

A petite maternity session may be booked as a newborn session add-on. If you decide to book both a full maternity session and a newborn session together, you will receive a $100 discount on each.
